Report a Formation

Some simple to  Rules to observe before entering a formation.

Visiting the crop circles can be a very exhilarating experience. Please remember  that the vast majority of circles appear on private land.

Please always ask permission before entering a formation, and respect the farmers wishes.

Please remain on the tractor lines where ever possible.

Do Not   smoke or light a cigarette whilst in the field.

Carry some small change with you in case you are asked to make a
donation by the farmer for  entering his field - the amount can vary, but as
a rule of thumb £2.00 per visitor is about average. Some farmers leave a
donation box by the side of the field or in the formation itself  please contribute.

Do Not  park your vehicle in such a way that it will cause an obstruction.

This crop formation was first reported to the Silent Circle by local residents during the morning of April 19 2008. The circle is approximately 180 feet diameter and is positioned high on the North facing flank of Waden Hill, and can be seen from the A361 when approaching Avebury from the Beckhampton roundabout. On the ground the formation is messy, with a significant proportion of the downed rape-seed (Canola) plants seriously damaged around the base area.
